To respond to COVID-19 data and policy gaps, a multidisciplinary team created a data ecosystem for seamless flow between data and decision making.
Using rapid phone surveys and COVID-19 diaries, the team collected information to fill data gaps with a focus on low-income, marginalised and vulnerable households to meet the needs of different audiences .
A digital home with over 40 datasets hosted on the COVID-19 data ecosystem is active and systems put in place are now contributing to making data more accessible and impactful for policy decision making.
