With nearly 50% of the projected increase in the world’s urban population to 2050 forecast to be in the Commonwealth, there has never been a more important time to come together to tackle the challenges of climate change and rapid urbanisation. These challenges have now been compounded by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Partners (The Association of Commonwealth Universities, The Commonwealth Association of Architects, The Commonwealth Association of Planners, The Commonwealth Local Government Forum and The Prince’s Foundation) are producing a programme of events on sustainable urbanisation across the Commonwealth including a series of lectures for built environment professionals in parallel with the main programme.

The programme runs from 1 July – 2 September.
