The Government of Trinidad and Tobago deposited its instrument of accession to the Madrid Protocol making Trinidad and Tobago the 107th member of the Madrid System, which now covers 123 countries. The Protocol entered into force for Trinidad and Tobago on 12 January 2021.

Trinidad and Tobago’s accession spotlights the Madrid System’s emergence as a key component of protecting marks globally, offering a convenient and cost-effective solution for brand owners worldwide and in the Caribbean region.
