The Commonwealth Innovation Index is collated from the data underpinning the World Intellectual Property Organisation’s Global Innovation Index for 2021. The Commonwealth Innovation Index ranks the innovation ecosystem performance of economies while highlighting innovation strengths and weaknesses and particular gaps in innovation metrics. It shows that just over one third of Commonwealth countries improved their global ranking on the previous year and a similar percentage of Commonwealth countries saw their global ranking deteriorate.
