Strengthening health systems with digital technologies in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure universal health coverage

Keynote speakers: Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientific Officer, WHO, and Professor Vajira Dissanayake, Founder, Commonwealth Digital Health Initiative. Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland and the Director-General of the Commonwealth Foundation, Dr Anne Gallagher, opened the forum.
The forum included a roundtable with speakers representing front line health professionals responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and was moderated by Dr Ashley McKimm from the British Medical Journal.
The policy brief highlights the key issues that came from the discussion and includes recommendations which are being put to Commonwealth Health Ministers for their consideration at their next virtual meeting.
